Marvel Comics has provided ComicBook.com with an exclusive preview of Uncanny X-Men #12, from writer Cullen Bunn and artist Greg Land.
On the heels of the conclusion of “Apocalypse Wars,” Magneto has finally revealed to his team that he has allied them with the X-Men’s longtime enemies, the Hellfire Club, and Psylocke isn’t happy about it.

The Hellfire Club is no longer run by the precocious child prodigies Sabretooth dealt with in Wolverine and the X-Men. As seen in the preview below, the Hellfire Club’s new Inner Circle consists of: Black Tom Cassidy as the White Bishop, Briar Raleigh (from Bunn’s Magneto series) as the Black Bishop, the X-Men’s own Monet St. Croix as the White Queen, Sebastian Shaw returning to his place of power as the Black King, and Magneto returning to his former rank as the White King.
Magneto hopes that bringing the X-Men together with the Hellfire Club will help unveil whoever is behind a recent spate mutant violence, and possibly bring mutants closer to ending the threat of the M-Pox. But can the X-Men really trust mutants as infamous as Sebastian Shaw and Black Tom Cassidy?
Uncanny X-Men #12 goes on sale in comic shops and digital comics apps on Sept. 7. Check out the preview pages in the gallery below.
