The Venom symbiote has had its fill of current host Max Gargan, and in the pages of the new Venom series will set about finding a host worthy of its power and abilities.

In Venom #1 the search for a worthy host begins, and ComicBook.com has an exclusive preview of the upcoming first issue by writer Mike Costa and artist Gerardo Sandoval. The preview show’s a sickly symbiote holding on for survival until it can find someone to latch onto, and pickings are currently slim. Even in the first pages, Sandoval’s art is a standout and should be a sight to behold in the full issue.
Editor-in-chief Axel Alonso recently spoke to ComicBook.com about the book and teased fans about the identity of the new host.
“Venom is returning for an all-new series as part of Marvel NOW! But which Venom? Mike Costa and Gerardo Sandoval have some big ideas, and fans are going to lose it when they learn who’s wearing the symbiote,” Alonso said.
