Is it time already? Actor Chris Hemsworth is celebrating his 33rd birthday today!

Born August 1983, the Australian actor was raised in Melbourne to Leonie and Craig. The middle of three brothers, the actor grew up between the city and the Australian Outback in Bulman. Interested in acting, Chris ultimately decided to pursue the career professional with his first credit in Guinevere Jones.

Perhaps Hemsworth's best-known starting role is that of Kim Hyde from Home and Away. The actor snagged the role and moved to Sydney were he appeared in 171 episodes of the soap opera before leaving in 2007.

But, obviously, the actor gained international fame when he was cast in Marvel Studios' Thor. Since his casting, Chris has reprised the role in The Avengers, Thor: The Dark World, and Avengers: Age of Ultron. Soon, the actor will be seen as Thor once more when Thor: Ragnarok hits theaters next November and again when Avengers: Infinity War is released.

The star has also appeared in various other films which have gone on to earn big at the box office. Prior to being cast as Thor, Chris played George Kirk in J.J. Abrams' Star Trek. In fact, the actor is set to reprise that role in the franchise's upcoming fourth film. Chris has also appeared in films such as Snow White and the Huntsman, Rush, and Blackhat.
