The Incredible Hulk Coaster is one of the most fun and intense thrill rides at Universal Studios Orlando Resort. Later this year, it will be revamped to provide even more fun.

While the ride itself will remain the same, an upward launching floorless rollercoaster with several inversions and dips over the theme park’s lake and Marvel Super Hero Island. However, the queue line experience, the coaster’s cars, and the surrounding scenery are all being revamped.
First off, the cars which guests will ride on have a brand new design. Inspired by the latest technology in military vehicles, the sleek new look will match the traditional green and purple colors of the Hulk but also feature new LED headlights. The cars also feature a built-in audio system with an original score for the ride created by Fall Out Boy’s Patrick Stump.
Before you can get a seat on that car, though, you’ll have to experience the queue line. The Incredible Hulk Coaster always did a good job of making the wait tolerable by offering multiple screens and lots of comic book scenery brought to life but the entire set up has been gutted. A new, redesigned queue will place guests into the state-of-the-art military research compound of General Thaddeus Ross.
In the queue line compound, guests witness Ross’s array of questionable, bio-radiological experiments. After passing through various laboraties, guests arrive at the Gamma core which is described as “an intense energy source that sends pulsing waves of radiation upward to fuel General Ross’s experiment.” Throughout the line, guests witness the transformation of their predecessors as they go through the “Hulk-a-fication” process.
Once you finally arrive at the boarding area, it’s your turn to Hulk out.
Speaking from experience, The Incredible Hulk Coaster is one of the most thrilling rides in the world. What starts as a tradition chain lift at about a 45 degree angle halts as “something goes wrong” only to catapult riders upward into a zero-g roll high above the “laboratories.” From there, it’s a roaring experience as flips, twists, and other elements hurl riders through a few moments as the big green rage monster.
The revamped Incredible Hulk Coaster is set to re-open this summer. The next we see the big guy in a movie will come in Thor: Ragnarok when Mark Ruffalo co-stars with Thor himself Chris Hemsworth for Hulk’s first cosmic adventure on the big screen.
