It doesn’t look like Earth’s mightiest heroes are a match for Hurricane Irma. According to a new report by Deadline, it seems like Marvel Studios is halting production on several projects because of the massive storm.

Not long ago, the site posted an article detailing Hurricane Irma’s effects on Hollywood. Deadline writes that SAG-AFTRA offices in Miami and Atlanta will be closed on Monday due to the hurricane. The site was also told by sources in Atlanta that film and TV crews across the state have notified their cast and crews to shut down on Monday as well.

While Hurricane Irma is expected to impact Florida most heavily, states like Alabama and Georgia will also feel the storm’s effects. Georgia’s governor has been vocal on Twitter to alert locals of dangers, and Nathan Deal confirmed every county in Georgia is under a state of emergency.

For Marvel fans, they will already see how Georgia’s impending bout with Irma will impact the MCU. Atlanta is a major entertainment hub that houses a branch of Pinewood Studios. The location has hosted projects like Black Panther and Captain America: Civil War. However, there are two films currently using the property to shoot.

Earlier this year, Avengers 4 and Ant-Man and the Wasp begin filming in Atlanta. Work on the latter film seems to be more interspersed, but stars like Scarlett Johansson have been spotted on-set. Ant-Man and the Wasp is also filming down south as stars like Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly have appeared on Pinewood’s sound stages.

It doesn’t appear that Marvel Studios or Pinewood are expecting imminent threats to production. There is no sign of any starring cast members riding Hurricane Irma out in Atlanta, but one Disney star is toughing the storm out in Florida. Frozen‘s Kristen Bell is hunkered down outside of Orlando as the actress was unable to evacuate Florida whilst filming a project.

Thor: Ragnarok will be the MCU’s next project to hit theaters. If you’re looking forward to the movie, give it your personal Anticipation Ranking below!
