The ultimate scene came as Ayesha (Elizabeth Debicki) — one of the film’s antagonists — unveiled she had been working on the perfect weapon.In a moment full of suspense, the Sovereign leader leaned in towards the cocoon and announced that she would be naming her creation Adam.

Fans of the cosmic side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe across the world rejoiced, fan-favorite character Adam Warlock was confirmed to exist in the live-action universe.

And although the character played one of the most important roles in stopping Thanos in The Infinity Gauntlet run of the 1990’s and its subsequent follow-up runs, the character won’t be making his big screen debut in the Russo Brothers’ Avengers: Infinity War according to Guardians director James Gunn.
“Adam Warlock will not be in Infinity War…he will have a future in the MCU,” Gunn said in a Q&A session on Facebook live.”But will it be in Infinity War? It will not.”
With Adam Warlock not appearing in Infinity War, it looks like the character’s debut will come in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, currently being penned by Gunn.
