In the latest Marvel NOW! teaser, Brian Michael Bendis creation Jessica Jones and Deadpool Mercs for Money member Solo are featured, with the typical fracture effect in the middle.

This is the eighth in a series of teasers for the new Marvel status quo, but not much else is known about what the split means. It is interesting that Solo is the third member of Deadpool’s team to make a teaser, as Foolkiller was recently featured on a pairing with The Wasp and Slapstick was paired with Captain Marvel. The sound guess is that the Mercs for Money will figure rather prominently in an event or as a cause of one.
Of course, someone at Marvel could just really like Solo.
Jessica Jones has recently been seen in Power Man and Iron Fist, but it looks like this is the first step to a more prominent role in the Marvel Universe. It makes sense that they would place the character at a higher priority, given her popularity surge from the Netflix television series. With a second season coming at some point, no time like the present to get the character back into the fold.
