Ever since promotion began for the first superhero crossover series on Netflix, we got used to seeing the social media accounts for the various Defenders interacting with one another. But now they’re starting to get involved outside of the Marvel Universe.
The Twitter account for Jessica Jones reached out to Bojack Horseman costar Aaron Paul, who voices moronic slacker Todd Chavez on the animated series, after the actor posted the new teaser trailer for the show’s fourth season.

And then the official account of Bojack Horseman got involved, pointing out a glaringly obvious similarity between the two title characters.

As fans of the show know, Jessica Jones is quite the private detective; if anyone can find Bojack on his latest drug-and-alcohol-fueled bender, she can. To catch a drunk person, one must become a drunk personโฆ or something like that.
It’s pretty humorous to see various accounts from The Defenders interact with each other and their fans. This is just the next step in Netflix promotion for their series. We hope they keep it up, it’s a fun way to see characters mix it up we might not see otherwise.
Maybe we’ll get an actual Krysten Ritter cameo on Bojack Horseman? She has history with Aaron Paul, with the two playing girlfriend and boyfriend on Breaking Bad. Just don’t let her near the meth this timeโฆ
Bojack Horseman returns on September 8.
