With it being announced yesterday that Vol. 2 will be Disney’s first-ever 4K UHD release on home video, more concept surfaced today of one of the movie’s minor characters that you might have gotten a glimpse of in the closing scenes.

In a mid-credits scenes that saw the Marvel Cinematic Universe debut of some of the original Guardians โ€” StakarOgorg (Sylvester Stallone), Martinex (Michael Rosenbaum), Charliey-27 (Ving Rhames), and Aleta Ogord (Michelle Yeoh) โ€” we were also introduced to Mainframe (Miley Cyrus) and a completely computer-generated snake-like creature named Krugarr.

Marvel Studios illustrator Jackson Sze โ€” who served as a concept artist on Vol. 2 โ€” took to Instagram to share early versions of Mainframe, portrayed by pop singer Miley Cyrus.

The art displayed by Sze โ€” which can also be seen in the gallery below โ€” differs greatly from the final version we saw in the film which in turn, was something that differed greatly from the character’s comic book look itself.

Created by Jim Valentino, Mainframe was a future counterpart of Vision and was the primary operating system behind an entire futuristic planet. After being a guardian of Captain America’s shield, Mainframe eventually joined the Guardians before joining its splinter group, the Galactic Guardians.
