Marvel Comics August 2017 Solicitation Highlights: Generations, Secret Empire, Ultimates 100

Marvel Comics has released its solicitations for August 2017.

The highly anticipated Marvel Generations event gets into full swing with several new one-shots. The Mighty Thor teams with the Unworthy Thor. Phoenix teams with young Jean Grey. Banner Hulk meets the Totally Awesome Hulk. The original Wolverine joins the All-New Wolverine. Clint Barton teams with Kate Bishop once again.

Meanwhile, the epic Secret Empire event comes to its conclusion. Captain America and his Hydra empire, including Hydra’s Avengers, makes a last stand against the united forces of the Marvel Universe heroes – Avengers, Champions, X-Men, Inhumans, and more.

A new Inhumans miniseries, Inhumans: Once and Future Kings, launches in August. Christopher Priest and Phil Noto tell a story of Black Bolt and Maximus, with backup stories featuring Lockjaw. Lockjaw’s greatest past moments will also be collected in the Lockjaw: Dog Days one-shot.

The Avengers go manga in the new Zombies Assemble miniseries that pits the Avengers against a horde of the living dead.

Finally, the Ultimates celebrate 100 issues with Ultimates 2 #100. The issue continues the story that’s been featured in Ultimates and Ultimates 2 so far, but teases an appearance by the original Ultimates of the Ultimate Marvel universe.
