Critics and fans alike took to bashing the new series, and it has caused quite stir of controversy on social media.

Despite the circus surrounding the show, it was still a very Marvel affair. Throughout its 13 episodes, Iron Fist managed to pack in plenty of Easter Eggs for TV and comic fans alike.

Some were pretty obvious. Others, not so much. The harder you looked in each episode, the more you were bound to find.

Head through the slideshow to check out some of the best Easter Eggs discovered throughout the first season of Iron Fist.

Stan Lee Cameo

Almost every property in existence features a cameo from Stan Lee, and Iron Fist is no different. The only thing is, you’ll have to be patient if you want to see him.

Lee’s cameo occurs in the 13th episode of the series, and it falls in line with the rest of his Netflix cameos.

If you look closely, you’ll see Stan Lee featured on a NYPDย poster on the side of a building. Throughout the Marvel Netflix shows, Lee has been the poster child for the police department.

The Incident

The final battle of The Avengers was a spectacle to say the least, and it’s destruction has had a lasting effect on the city of New York.

No one would forget aliens tearing apart a large chunk of the biggest city in the country, and the characters of Hell’s Kitchen will always find a way to bring it up.

Throughout Iron Fist, The Incident – referring to that epic showdown – is mentioned on more than one occasion.

The Big Green Guy

Speaking of the Avengers, it seems like a good time to give The Hulk a little bit of attention.

At one point, a set of viral YouTubeย videos is brought up. What are these videos about? Oh, just the “Big Green Guy” we all love so much.

Hallway Fight Scenes

The Marvel Netflix series’ have plenty in common, but there is one particular type of scene that binds them all together.

Just like seasons past, Iron Fist featured multiple hallway fight scenes, and they seems very reminiscent to the fights in the first season of Daredevil.

Luke Cage Letters

Unfortunately, Luke Cage had to head back to prison at the end of his first season. He’s currently locked away, but he’s still communicating with those he cares for most.

When the show takes viewers to Claire Temple’s apartment, you can see she’s been in contact with the Power Man himself. A stack of letters from Cage are nestled nicely on her side table.

Sweet Christmas

While we’re on the subject of Luke Cage, the long-time comic partner of Iron Fist was mentioned on more than one occasion.

Even his signature catchphrase made an appearance.

While Claire was on-screen, she managed to sneak in one quick ‘Sweet Christmas’ for all the fans.

Daughter Of The Dragon

Luke Cage and Iron Fist aren’t the only comic characters to have an epic P.I. team-up gig. For a time, Colleen Wing and Claire Temple became partners, and called themselves the Daughters Of The Dragon.

On the show, Wing enters an underground fighting ring, and she was asked to provide a name to fight under.

Like Daredevil

Iron Fist hasn’t yet had the chance to interact with the other members of The Defenders, but he certainly knows who they are.

During one interaction between Danny and Ward, they mention their antics being just like the “G**D*** Daredevil”.

Soon, the two warriors will be teammates.

Bride Of Nine Spiders

When Danny had to face-off against a group of terrifying opponents – all at once – there were a couple of memorable comic villians.

The Scythe was the first one worth mentioning, but the Bride Of Nine Spiders was easily the most famous of the bunch.

Roxxon

At one point in the series, fans saw the name of a company they’ve come to recognize in the Marvel universe.

Roxxonย Corporation has appeared in several shows and films over the years of the MCU, as well as one of the Marvel One-Shots.

With Rand’s company getting into a ton of big business dealings, they’ll surely have run-ins with Roxxon.

Karen Page

With Nelson & Murdock closed, Karen Page has ventured into a new line of work. The character is now an investigative journalist for The Bulletin.

This job change will likely be featured in The Punisher series, but she was also mentioned a couple of times in Iron Fist.

When people would talk about different reports in the paper, Page was specifically name-dropped as being the writer who covered them.

Shou-Lao

In the comics, the power of the Iron Fist comes from a legendary dragon, Shou-Lao The Undying.

Since the shows are a bit on the realistic side of things, no one thought the creature would make an appearance. It definitely didn’t, but the dragon was definitely referenced as a part of the Iron Fist history.

“Honor the sacrifice of Shou-Lao the Undying.”

Classic Iron Fist Costume

Leading up to the series, it was made abundantly clear that Danny Rand wouldn’t be wearing the classic Iron Fist costume. The mask and yoga pants didn’t exactly fit the tone of the series, so that was understandable.

Fortunately though, the creative team found a way to sneak in the old-school look.

When footage of one of the former Iron Fists was shown, they were donning a much different attire. Even the yellow mask made an appearance.
