There Is A Lot Of Interest In Marvel TV In Hollywood

Marvel Studios has experienced an enormous amount of success in recent years, but that isn’t the only facet of Marvel that Hollywood is paying attention to.

Marvel’s television division is also procuring plenty of interest from Hollywood, as evidenced in the latest LA screenings of this fall’s new TV shows. According to Deadline, reactions to Marvel and FOX’s X-Men focused “The Gifted” were positive, especially in regards to the SVOD (Subscription Video On Demand) and premium buyers.

While that will air on FOX, ABC’s “Marvel’s Inhumans” also experienced positive reactions, and will benefit from IMAX screenings of the premiere. Marvel’s Freeform show “Cloak and Dagger” also built some buzz, and will appeal to a different market than both “The Gifted” and Marvel’s Inhumans”. If all three perform well with general audiences, Marvel will have a very diverse and targeted lineup of shows in the fall.

Marvel’s Inhumans stars Anson Mount (Black Bolt), Serinda Swan (Medusa), Ken Leung (Karnak), Isabelle Cornish (Crystal), Eme Ikwuakor (Gorgon), Iwan Rheon (Maximus), Sonya Balmores (Auran), Mike Moh (Triton), and Ellen Woglom).

Marvel’s Inhumans will premiere the first two episodes in IMAX on September 1. The full series will debut on ABC later this fall. Cloak and Dagger is set to debut sometime in the Winter of 2017. The Gifted hits FOX later this year.
