The upcoming ABC miniseries recently shared a new poster of Lockjaw, the giant, telepathic dog (yes, really) of the Inhumans royal family. The poster shows Lockjaw bathed in golden light, standing on what appears to be a shore. You can check out the poster below.

The Marvel Comics canine has already been featured pretty heavily in Inhumans‘ trailers, drawing plenty of positive reactions in the fairly scrutinized series. And as this poster proves, the series has gone above and beyond to bring Lockjaw to life, something series director Roel Reine hinted to ComicBook.com during last month’s San Diego Comic-Con.
“On account of Lockjaw, no one really I think understands this.” Reine revealed. “But nobody has done a full CG character on a TV series before. So Lockjaw is the first. It’s a big responsibility for all of us.”
Even though the Inhumans‘ version of Lockjaw is CGI, fans have already gotten a chance to hug the lovable pooch, thanks to a life-size replica at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, as well as a series of adorable Funko products.
Fans will get to see the four-legged fan-favorite on the small screen – as well as the big screen – when Marvel’s The Inhumans debuts next month.
Marvel’s The Inhumans premieres in IMAX theaters on September 1, followed by its debut on ABC on September 29.
Marvel’s Inhumans explores the never-before-told epic adventure of the royal family, including “Black Bolt,” the enigmatic, commanding King of the Inhumans, with a voice so powerful that the slightest whisper can destroy a city. After the Royal Family of Inhumans is splintered by a military coup, they barely escape to Hawaii where their surprising interactions with the lush world and humanity around them may prove to not only save them, but Earth itself.
