If you have not seen the latest X-Men movie, then you seem to be in the minority. Earlier this month, 20th Century Fox bid farewell to Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart as the pair exited the studio’s X-Men Cinematic Universe. Logan wrapped up the actors’ parts in the franchise with heart-wrenching brutality, and fans left cinemas bereft at the loss. Still, the gritty blockbuster has earned only praise from both fans and critics. And, in the wake of Wolverine’s absence, fans are wanting to learn more about the mutant and his last hurrah.

Now, fans can get a better look at how Logan came about behind-the-scenes thanks to one talent concept artist. Thanks to ScreenRant, a slew of artwork from Christian Cordella has hit the Internet which he did for Fox. The images all highlight Logan‘s mutant leads in various forms, but particular emphasis was put on Laura and Professor Xavier.
The images do not look vastly different from what fans ultimately saw in Logan‘s theatrical version. However, in one image, Laura can be seen donning some very frilly clothes. The little girl did wind up wearing a more age-appropriate outfit in the film whilst her posse was hiding out in Las Vegas. But, still – the printed shirt is pretty adorable.
You can check out the concept artwork in the following slides.
Logan takes place in the year 2024, where mutant births have become extremely rare. The defenders of mutant kind, the X-Men, are long gone, and the only remains of them are an old and struggling Charles Xavier and a weary Logan. Logan’s vaunted healing factor has slowed, and at times doesn’t seem to work at all. When a young mutant needs his help, Logan has to unsheathe his claws once more. His job isn’t over yet.
Logan stars Hugh Jackman (Logan), Boyd Holbrook (Donald Pierce), Patrick Stewart (Charles Xavier), Dafne Keen (Laura Kinney/X-23), Doris Morgado (Maria), Stephen Merchant (Caliban), Elizabeth Rodriguez (Gabriela), and Richard E. Grant (Dr. Zander Rice). James Mangold is directing and helped on the screenplay along with Scott Frank and Michael Green.
Logan is now playing in theaters. Let us know with your ranking in the Movie Database below!
