The next team-up movie from Marvel Studios is shaping up to be the largest superhero movie ever made, and that’s just looking at the cast list. While some fans might have wondered how the Russo Brothers were going to utilize the vast pantheon of characters from the various franchises, it sounds like many of them will be packed on the screen of Avengers: Infinity War.

Even though so many actors appearing on set, there’s still a lot of secrecy surrounding the plot of the movie and Marvel has done a good job of keeping a lid on the talent. Speaking with Stephen Colbert on the Late Show, Scarlett Johansson was hesitant to reveal any new information but let slip one huge fact about the production.
“At one point I do think that the Infinity Wars there are, I think at one point 61 or 62 Marvel characters in it,” Johansson said.
When Colbert asks if that’s just one scene with that many characters, Johansson clarifies that in “one particular scene, there’s like 32 of us. There’s a lot.”
She joked that there are so many of them that she’s unsure who is a Marvel character and who is a crew member.
Given what we know about the production so far, it’s not exactly surprising to know that the film will be as large as our imaginations are making it out to beโnow we’re just wondering how the Russos will pull it off. Captain America: Civil War was one of the biggest films yet, but it did a decent job of giving everyone some direction amid all of the moving parts.

So far we know the movie will feature:
- Black Widow
- Iron Man
- Captain America
- Thor
- Hawkeye
- Hulk
- Black Panther
- Scarlet Witch
- Vision
- the Falcon
- War Machine
- Ant-Man
- Spider-Man
- Doctor Strange
- Valkyrie
- Winter Soldier
- Star-Lord
- Gamora
- Nebula
- Drax
- Groot
- Rocket
- Mantis
- Nick Fury
- Maria Hill
There’s also a good chance The Wasp and Captain Marvel could make an appearance as well as some of the Panther’s Dora Milaje, but who else could possibly show up in this already gigantic film? Not likely a Defender or an Agent of SHIELD.
โจโจIt’s possible Johansson was being hyperbolic or going off of memory, but either way, the movie still figures to be bigger than any superhero spectacle that’s been released thus far.
How can a movie this massive be cohesive? I’m guessing we’ll find out when Avengers: Infinity War debuts on May 4, 2018.
