The sequel to Avengers: Infinity War is currently filming in Atlanta, which makes it seem likely that Stan has this look because the Winter Soldier will appear in that film. This also suggests that The Winter Soldier will survive Avengers: Infinity War.

There’s been some other speculation around characters who will not survive to see the sequel to Avengers: Infinity War, but will actually be resurrected, thanks to a photo from Avengers: Infinity War star Robert Downey Jr. There is also been separate speculation that a flashback scene may be in the works.

The last time fans saw the Winter Soldier was in the post-credits scene of Captain America: Civil War, when he was put into stasis in the hidden African nation of Wakanda, the homeland of T’Challa, the Black Panther. With the Black Panther movie next up on Marvel Studios’ plate, many fans are wondering if they’ll see the Winter Soldier again before the next time the Avengers assemble.
