Stan Lee Cancels Appearance Due To Health

Stan Lee will not be attending the Big Apple Comic Con in New York City, taking place this weekend, the convention just announced while citing health reasons.

Lee makes appearances at various cons across the country, giving autographs and taking pictures with many of his fans as a means of connecting with the people he’s entertained for decades.

While the news will likely be met with disappointment, Lee is getting older and must maintain his health if he’s going to honor other convention commitments he’s scheduled for this year.

The convention organizers announced they will give refunds to anyone who purchased tickets for photo ops, autographs, or the swag bag.

Lee, 94, has cancelled a handful of appearances at conventions over the last few years, but he still honors other commitments whenever he’s able and healthy to do so.



Let’s hope he feels better in time for his next scheduled appearance. The Man’s exuberance can only be matched by his love for the fans, and it’s a shame he’ll have to bow out this weekend.
