If you ever need a story to tell your kids about why honesty’s great, you can thank Chris Hemsworth and Ellen for a prime example.

Via Mashable, the Thor actor was having dinner in Los Angeles and left his wallet at the table. He told Ellen on Monday that “I left my wallet on the table, and thought I’m never going to get it back, I’m never going to see it again.”

Turns out, it ended up in the hands 17-year-old Tristin Budzyn-Baker, who found the wallet and said to his mom:”I looked up at my mom, and was like ‘mom, do you know who this is? We found Thor’s wallet.”
After recovering it, he sent a letter to Hemsworth’s management telling them he had it while also asking if he and his mom could attend Ellen’s show as Hemsworth was scheduled to be on. They said yes, and placed him in the front row, which then turned into on stage when Hemsworth brought the young man up.
“I expected [the wallet] was going to be empty, and all the cash was in there, so I want to give you the cash โ there’s a little extra in there,” After getting some cash, Ellen then rewarded Tristin with $10,000. If that wasn’t enough, Hemsworth completed the package by writing him a special letter of recommendation for his scout troop, as he hopes to earn the rank of Eagle Scout. Hemsworth concluded by saying “You’re an amazing young man and thank you for being such an honest guy.”
