Unboxing: Marvel HeroClix Deadpool & X-Force

Deadpool has never been more popular, and now he’s making his return to HeroClix and bringing some friends with him.

WizKids is just weeks away from releasing Marvel HeroClix: Deadpool & X-Force into game stores everywhere. As the name suggests, Deadpool himself is the headliner of this set, but he’s bringing X-Force with him and that’s not all.

The new set also includes sub-themes featuring Squirrel Girl and friends, the X-Statix, and the Mercs for Money. The Mercs are even represented in two forms each – one for their individualized selfs, and one for their time dressing as Deadpool as part of the Deadpool Corps.

Most teams represented as part of the set have their own unique mechanics, such as X-Force’s built in stealth, the X-Statix ability to work the newspaper headlines for bonuses, or the Mercs for Money’s ability to stay alive. Deadpool gets a fun “Shifting Focus” trait as well that allows playing to swap out between different, specialized versions of the character from turn to turn.

Marvel HeroClix: Deadpool & X-Force pre-releases will begin in game stores next week. The set goes on sale in March at your local comic book and game store.
