Kingpin was last seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe during Daredevil‘s second season. The villain is getting cozy in prison, having recently manipulated Jon Bernthal’s Punisher in the yard.

According to Kingpin actor Vincent D’Onofrio, the character will be making a return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe sooner than later, he just won’t reveal exactly when or where just yet.
Here’s what D’Onofrio had to say:
He will, eventually. Honestly, I wish I knew ’cause I could plan my year better. I know he will come back, I just don’t know when. I can’t wait to find out. I’m totally into the Marvel stuff, big time. I want to do Marvel, all the time. I love it so much ’cause they’re so creative over there. They let you bring this whole new thing to an iconic thing that they invented. It’s just so much fun. I love it to death. I want to see Captain Marvel and Wonder Woman. There’s something about those movies. I dig the shit out of them. I’ve been tweeting back and forth with James Gunn, about doing something with him because I love Guardians of the Galaxy so much.
There are a number of places Kingpin can pop up in the future Marvel Netflix world. With Iron Fist around the corner, both The Punisher and The Defenders are expected to follow up before 2017 comes to an end. Of course, a crossover into the New York City based Spider-Man: Homecoming would get fans riled up.
