In this extended clip from X-Men: Apocalypse, Scott Summers (Tye Sheridan) is in history class — learning about events that took place in Days of Future Past — when his mutant power begins to manifest itself.
While blinking rapidly and staring ahead in an attempt to adjust his vision, Scott draws the unwanted attention of a jock who believes the young mutant is checking out his girlfriend. With his eyes still bothering him, Scott asks his teacher for permission to leave early, which is reluctantly granted. When the class ends, the jock seeks out Scott, who is hiding in a bathroom stall.
Director Bryan Singer returns with X-MEN: APOCALYPSE. Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel's X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign.
X-Men: Apocalypse will be released on May 27, 2016.
