The promo puts a 1980s filter on footage from X-Men: Apocalypse to create a campus orientation video for Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters. The video features the use of Cyclops and Quicksilver’s mutant powers. Check it out above.
The retro promo is the follow-up to the X-Men: Apocalypse viral marketing video that used Jubilee in a video brochure for Xavier’s school. The video also featured a voice cameo by Stan Lee.
In X-Men: Apocalypse, since the dawn of civilization, he was worshiped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.
X-Men: Apocalypse is directed by Bryan Singer, from a screenplay by Simon Kinberg, and stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Oscar Isaac, Nicholas Hoult, Rose Byrne, Tye Sheridan, Sophie Turner, Olivia Munn, and Lucas Till.
X-Men: Apocalypse is now available on Digital HD, and releases on Blu-ray and DVD on Oct. 4, 2016.
