It’s finally happening. A little over a year from now the Guardians of the Galaxy will cross paths with the Avengers in Avengers: Infinity War where the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe will have to come together in an effort to stop the Mad Titan from destroying the universe.

The fans are hardly alone in their excitement to see the two hero squads uniting on the big screen.
When asked by ComicBook.com at a press event for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 what a conversation between Peter Quill and Tony Stark might be like, Star-Lord actor Chris Pratt could only share the feeling.
“I don’t want give it away but I think that you’re not alone in being excited about that collaboration,” Pratt said. “I think the minute Guardians 1 came out and people responded to it, inevitably the question was, ‘When are they gonna get to meet up with the Avengers?’ and you’re gonna get to see that.”
Gamora actress Zoe Saldana has high hopes for her band of misfit heroes keeping their silly tone intact.
“I just hope that, as Guardians, we’re able to keep our tone and we just add on all of this levity to the tension that’s going on with the Avengers,” Saldana said. “I just hope that we remain as the goofballs that we are that get everything right by making all the worst mistakes and we’re just able to make everybody laugh. That’s all!
“Nebula,” Saldana said.
“I gave up. I’m done I’m resolved I wouldn’t want anybody else ot put him in his place than the first person he struck and hurt the most which is his kids. So, I would want Nebula to do it.”
If anyone will manage to make light of a giant purple god wreaking havoc on the universe, it’s Gamora and her lovably idiotic band of Guardians. Ahead of their encounter with the Avengers, the cosmic team will have to take on the likes of Ayesha and the Sovereign, in addition to meeting Peter Quill’s real father for the first time with Kurt Russell stepping in to play Ego the Living Planet.
