In talking about Batman Vs. Superman release date change, Smith said, “I also heard that they pushed the shooting because Ben Affleck hurt his leg, while they were shooting or something like that, which I don’t know. I just saw him on some awards shows and he didn’t look like he had hurt his leg, so maybe that was just a rumor.”
Smith then went on to relay how director Zack Snyder showed him a picture after the Man of Steel Yahoo fan event for the Man of Steel home video release. Smith said, “He shows me a picture of Batman, a live action version of Batman. A very familiar Batman, I might add. Didn’t look like any of the cinematic Batmans that have ever gone before. He shows me that picture, and behind Batman is Superman in the suit, looming in the distance. Both like on a rooftop kind of thing. It was on a set, a little set they put together for this photo shoot.”
Smith continued, “I’m like ‘Oh, my god! That’s the suit. The suit looks amazing, man. What did you get peopleย to model it?’ He goes, ‘That’s your boy.’ And I look closely, and it’s Ben Affleck wearing the suit. The suit is not mine to spill in terms of what it looks like. You’ll see it. They’ll tell you when they want you to know. But any Batman fan is going to be ****ing pleased. I’m going to tell you that right now.”
Batman Vs. Superman is scheduled to be released in movie theaters on May 6, 2016.
