There’s no better time to binge a horror franchise than during September and October. It’s not like there’s ever really a bad time to watch horror movies, but there’s something about those fall months, leading up to Halloween, that makes them feel just a little more exciting. Some of the best franchises to binge during Spooky Season are those long-running slashers from the ’80s, who found countless (and often ridiculous) ways over the years to bring their horror icon killers back from the dead. Friday the 13th remains the epitome of that type of franchise, and watching through the Jason Voorhees saga will be a lot easier this Halloween season.

Two-thirds of the Friday the 13th franchise just got added to not one, but two different streaming services at the start of September. Monday morning saw the first eight films land on Paramount+ and Pluto TV, the latter of which is free to stream.
That means you can visit one of two Paramount-owned sites to watch all of the Paramount-released films in the Jason Voorhees saga. On either streamer, you can binge through Friday the 13th, Friday the 13th Part II, Friday the 13th Part III, Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter, Friday the 13th: A New Beginning, Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives, Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood, and Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan.
Where to Stream Friday the 13th
Eight movies in a single franchise is a lot, but it’ll still be frustrating for completionists to learn that the final four movies in the Friday the 13th series aren’t streaming alongside their predecessors. The thing is, New Line Cinema bought the rights to distribute Friday the 13th titles after the failure of Jason Takes Manhattan, so the streaming contracts for those final four movies are very different than the ones belonging to the Paramount movies.
At the moment, none of those four movies are streaming on any subscription service. Unless you own your own copy of them (which is always the best option when it comes to movies you love), the only way to check out Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday, Jason X, Freddy vs. Jason, or the Friday the 13th remake is to purchase or rent them on-demand.
Horror Movies Streaming on Paramount+
The Friday the 13th films are just a handful of the dozens of horror movies that were added to Paramount+ at the start of September. Along with Peacock, Paramount+ was one of the stronger services for horror lineups this fall, bringing in hits like Blade, I Know What You Did Last Summer, The Crow, Scary Movie, The Addams Family, and Overlord.
