Amazing Spider-Man #700 Preview

Coming on the heels of the release of today's blockbuster revelations in Amazing Spider-Man #698, Marvel Comics has released a lettered (but censored) preview of Amazing Spider-Man #700, the series's final issue and the conclusion to the current story arc. Somewhere--in an idyllic, surreal vision of the world where he grew up--Peter Parker is encountering those he's loved and lost over the years--allies, friends, supporting cast members...even Captain Stacy, Gwen and Uncle Ben. And what they have to say may be surprising--certainly some of what Ben has to say will be, since Marvel has marked some of it "classified." It's only about a month until December 26, though...! It also sounds as though Avenging Spider-Man #15.1 will give fans closure on the story, and probably provide the lead-in to establish Peter's new status quo, the series's new status quo and possibly introduce the new Spider-Man heading into Superior Spider-Man #1. It's the only other Marvel title being released on the last Wednesday in December, so apparently the publisher is pretty serious about fans picking up both.
