Not much is known about Supreme Leader Snoke, the motion-capture character Andy Serkis (War for the Planet of the Apes) portrays in The Force Awakens, and a popular Star Wars fan theory believes the reason for Snoke's absence from the film's marketing campaign is because he's actually Jar Jar Binks.

While appearing on Conan, Serkis was asked if he is in fact playing an evil version of Jar Jar. "It's true," Serkis admitted. "I don't want to spoil it for anybody..." He then busts out his best Jar Jar impression while reciting his line from the first teaser: "There's been an awakening. Have you felt it?"

Check it out in the video below.

In this continuation of the Star Wars saga, balance returns to the Force as the First Order, emerging from the ashes of the Empire, clashes with the Resistance, which includes scrappy newcomers as well as heroes from the former Rebel Alliance.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens in U.S. theaters on December 18.
