May 5th is Free Comic Book Day, and we continue to update the various offerings from publishers. Asylum Press is offering a free digital sampler called "Asylum Press Sampler Free Comic Book 2012" #1. Sure, not very creative, but you certainly get the idea. The Book will feature 8 pages from four upcoming titles: Trenchcoats, Cigarettes and Shotguns: Written by Chuck Brown, illustrated by Philipp Nuendorf. When the demonic mob murders the friend of a mysterious hit man named, Trypp; he begins to leave a path of death, destruction and blood to avenge her. Christina and her rowdy girlfriends go to the Daytona Bike Week motorcycle rally and sneak into a nightclub to see a heavy metal band. After taking a hit of the supernatural drug known as Stairway to Heaven, Christina and Trish encounter the ghostly Reaper, a headless Hell's Angel on a chopper who collects the souls of sinners in the afterlife. "We're excited about the possibility of reaching new fans on Free Comic Book Day," explains publisher Frank Forte, "People will be going to comics stores in droves, but they'll also be on their tablets and ipads.
