Universal Pictures is teasing a return to the world of Back to the Future in 2015.

No specifics were released -- just a tweet, which you can see below, with the hashtag #BTTF2015.

The film franchise, set in 1985, featured Michael J. Fox as a teenager who gets locked into a series of time travel adventures, first 30 years into the past, then thirty years into the future, and then finally a hundred years into the past.

Back to the Future Part II, which is set in 2015, has been the source of dozens if not hundreds of articles, memes and jokes online since January. Its improbable and often comical "future" technology like self-lacing shoes, hoverboards and flying cars have given futurists, and movie fans plenty to analyze, talk about and snark over.

The original Back to the Future saw a limited 25th anniversary theatrical re-release in the U.K. and the U.S. in October 2010 to coincide with the Universal Studios Home Video 25th Anniversary DVD and Blu-ray Disc releases of the trilogy.

Speaking with Yahoo last year, Bob Gale, who co-wrote Back to the Future with its director Robert Zemeckis, promised that 2015 would see some recognition of the franchise:

"We've got some books in the works, and some fan celebrations. And I hope some other things are going to come to fruition," Gale said. "We're definitely going to celebrate it, not only because the original movie is 30 years old, but also because Part II takes place in October 2015, so there are a lot of people looking at that angle, saying how accurately, or inaccurately, did these guys predict the future. It's amazing how people still love that movie as much as they do, maybe even more than it when it came out."
