Mlive is reporting that the new Batmobile, debuting in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, will have a Chevy engine under the hood.

The engine is built in Michigan, the same state in which the film is doing most of its shooting. Michigan Motion Picture Studios (MMPS) CEO Linden Nelson says many aspects of the film were built or born in Michigan.

"Chrysler was very involved in the movie, too," Nelson said. "Chrysler is home grown and so is GM ... there were days where there were over 2,000 Michigan workers on site in this building."

Nelson says the Batman v. Superman budget in Michigan was about $140 million. The film received about $35 million in tax cut incentives for filming in the state.

Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice opens March 25, 2016.
