's Benedict Cumberbatch won't go inside Pacific Rim director Guillermo del Toro's haunted house, as the actor has pulled out of starring in Crimson Peak, according to Variety. Described as a "gothic horror" story, Cumberbatch would have been playing the second lead in a story that revolves around a woman who discovers that her new husband is not who he claims to be. his exit gives del Toro and Legendary Pictures about six months to find a replacement before filming was set to begin in February. It's not known why the actor has left the project, but Deadline claims that it has nothing to do with scheduling issues. The Sherlock star can be seen in the upcoming Wikileaks drama The Fifth Estate, in which he plays Julian Assange.
