You down with Digimon? Well, then it's about digi-time you saw the new English trailer for Digimon Adventure Tri. The anime film series is a direct continuation of the original Digimon series. Entitled 'Tri,' the new project is comprised of a six-part film series that follows Taichi Yagami long after after the Digimon show ended. And, as you might expect, the trailers for Digimon Adventure Tri are hitting time fans right in the feels.

Uploaded by Toei Animation, a new English trailer for the first film Reunion was recently put up on Youtube. The video itself depicts many familiar faces as the original show's DigiDestined have all returned for the project. And, for western audiences, Eleven Arts took on the challenge of dubbing the films as several voice actors from the Digimon televsion series came back to reprise their roles. Unsurprisingly, many fans are already excited to see their favorite characters like Taichi, Yamato, Sora, and Izzy reunited with their Digimon partners after all these years.

I mean, really. If you're not excited to Agumon or Gabumon again, then it may be time you reevaluate your priorities as a Digimon fan.

When you check out the trailer, you might notice no dialogue is teased in the clip. However, you'll definitely hear the updated version of the Digimon Theme Song, a tune fans will certainly remember fondly. The new up-beat EDM track plays over a montage which showcases each of the DigiDestined members who're now battling a daunting threat: high school. Having drifted apart over time, the friends find themselves eventually reunited in these films after strange occurrences begin popping up and force them to revisit the Digital World.

A brief synopsis of the film can be read below, courtesy of Eleven Arts:

"It's been six years since the summer adventure when Tai (now in high school) and the rest of the DigiDestined crossed over to the Digital World and nearly three years since frenzied final battles between warring factions. With the gate to the Digital World closed, time continues to pass, until theadventure Digivolves once again."

Of course, many fans might already know that Digimon Adventure Tri has been available for sometime now on Crunchyroll and Hulu as the sites have been episodically releasing the films. However, this new trailer is meant to mark the impending one-night theatrical release of Digimon Adventure Tri - Reunion through Fathom Events on September 15th, the first time any film of the franchise has done so.
