Django Unchained Broomhilda

In the action figure collecting hobby, it's rarity that usually drives up the price of an action figure on the secondary market. With this in mind, it should come as no surprise that Django Unchained action figures are starting to skyrocket in value due to the news that the figures have been discontinued by the manufacturer. As we reported earlier, the Django Unchained action figures came under fire for depicting slavery in action figure form. Both Rev. Al Sharpton's National Action Network and Project Islamic Hope called for a boycott of the action figures. According to TMZ, the Weinstein Company asked the toy manufacturer to discontinue the line, which they have done. There are reportedly only around 1,000 of the action figures that were released before production was shut down, which makes the Django Unchained action figures extremely rare. Prices had already been rising on eBay before the line was discontinued, as people were anticipating that might happen due to the boycott. Of all the Django Unchained action figures, the lone female figure Broomhilda appears to be the most in demand. Broomhilda action figures have bidders as high as $990 and rising on eBay . Complete sets of the Django Unchained action figures have already exceeded $1,500 in bids on eBay.
