‘300’ Sequel To Include Roles for Gerard Butler and Lena Headey

With hints here and there, fans of '300' have been hoping to see Gerard Butler's King Leonidas and Lena Headey's Queen Gorgo somehow make it into the sequel '300: Battle of Artemisia.' But how could that be? Leonidas dies in '300.' It might be possible after all, according to producer Bernie Goldmann. Movies.com caught up with the producer, who had this to say: "It's a different story," he said. "[However] there's a small part for Lena. There is a small part for Gerry." Goldmann also seems bent on casting unknown lead actors for the sequel. "When you make a period movie like that, it's great not to know the actors," Goldmann explained. "For me, as an audience, it always brings me into the movie more. You can't see Tom Cruise in a historical movie. You go, 'That's Tom Cruise!'" As long as the film is good, we don't care who they cast.
