Archie Comics has provided a ComicBook.com with an exclusive peek behind the curtain of the upcoming Mega Man #46, which continues the long-awaited "Ultimate Betrayal" storyline.

"The Ultimate Betrayal is the culmination of everything we've been building to in the Mega Man comics since day #1 – it's a really exciting time for the series!" said Paul Kaminski, Executive Director of Editorial. "Fans will recognize this storyline as the conclusion of our Mega Man 3 game adaptation, and this is one conclusion that goes out with a BANG.

"Dr. Wily has just spent the last several months convincing the world that he's not such a bad guy — and he might have even accidentally convinced himself of that once or twice — before showing his true colors and sabotaging Light Labs to steal the ultra-powerful robot known as GAMMA. Now Wily has burned light Labs to the ground, sent Break Man to destroy Mega Man, and is on the cusp of unlocking the secrets of a robot that'll let him take over the world!

The images offer a rare glimpse into the creative and editorial process behind the Archie Action titles...and remember that the final order cutoff date is coming up on Monday, January 26.
