And while the trailer filled in many of the show’s gaps by showing Daredevil, The Kingpin, Karen Page, Foggy Nelson, and more in action, the teases inevitably just stoked more questions. Almost every clip was an enigma, stirring up enough speculation to leave viewers as anxiousโif not moreโasย they were before the trailer’s debut. Below, we address the biggest questions raised by Daredevil’s trailer, and speculate what their possible answers might mean for the series.
Who Is That Dead Body?
What Is The Kingpin Staring At?
Who Beat Up Daredevil?
What Is Stick Doing?
In the first half of the trailer, we see elevator doors close on another blind man. The elderly man is non other than Stick, Matt Murdock’s senseiย and trainer. We heard that actor Scott Glenn had been cast as the blind mentor, but didn’t think the role would be big enough to warrant a tease on the trailer. So, how big of a role will Stick play in the series? Will he have a radar sense similar to Matt’s, as he did in the comics, or will he only train Daredevil in the ways of combat? Either way, it’s exciting to see Daredevil reach deep into it’s comic book mythology with Stick.ย
