After narrowly beating out The Walking Dead in last year's Hulu Best in Show competition, Community is set to go to the finals again, barring a last-minute surge by the BBC series Sherlock. On the other side of the bracket, Game of Thrones is hanging onto a tidy lead over Breaking Bad, setting up another genre-friendly head-to-head for the title. Community rolled through The Walking Dead in the first round this year, beating out the hit AMC drama by a much wider margin than it did last year in the finals. Why they were paired up in the first round isn't clear; maybe ratings? If you set it up like March Madness, one assumes that there would be SOMETHING--but not much--with lower ratings than Community, while The Walking Dead would be the overall #1 seed. After The Walking Dead, they beat Glee by a massive margin, and then on to The New Girl. Presently, it's beating Sherlock by a 52% to 48% margin. Game of Thrones beheaded Doctor Who, Boardwalk Empire and Modern Family on its way to taking a ten-point lead on Breaking Bad. You can check out, and vote in, the contest here.
