If you were worried that Gears of War 4 was going soft, you can stop fretting now.
Most of the coverage up to this point has been focused on the story campaign, but The Coalition has released a prolonged look at the multiplayer, which looks even more brutal than previous entries.
That brutality comes courtesy of the new weapons and exectutions. Weapons like the Dropshot, which can decapitate someone's head in an instant, and the Buzzsaw, which opts for just slicing a body completely in half, ricocheting off of numerous objects along the way.
New cover mechanics like the yank and the vault kick should provide more options for when long-range gunplay isn't an option, and the classic executions look tame when compared to the recently revealed Dropshot version.
You can see some of the game in action on the game's Twitch Stream going on during PAX East here.
