A significant number of fans of George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire novels, which spawned the hit HBO show Game of Thrones, have expressed what we'll charitably call "concern" about the 65-year-old author's age and health and whether he'll ever actually finish his lengthy series of fantasy novels.

In an interview at Sweden's Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival, Martin responded to those concerned.

"F**k you to those people."

Well, that's pretty succinct. He's actually not the first to respond to these questions of his health in such a "colorful" manner. In 2009, Neil Gaiman responded to a question about Martin potentially "letting fans down" by not finishing the series by reminding fans that "George R.R. Martin is not your b***h."

A Song of Ice and Fire is currently planned for seven novels, though Martin never rules out further expansion. Five have been released so far, with the latest being A Dance with Dragons, which had a page count of 1040. The next novel in the series is The Winds of Winter.
