The butler did it!

An age old staple of the mystery genre for certain, but in the Lovecraftian themed Witch House, that candlestick would be attached to a tentacled monstrosity, reaching through a portal attempting to lead his foul army to claim what is rightfully theirs!
or you know, something like that.
Here is what the developer, Wombat and Frog, had to say about Witch House.
“We’re aiming to blend together the mystery, madness and monsters of Lovecraft’s legacy in a new way that hasn’t been seen before. There is as much emphasis on exploration, stealth and solving mysteries as there is on combat. The odds are always stacked, and keeping your team sane long enough to achieve the objective is an ever-present concern.”
Witch House is a paranormal tactics game that puts in charge of the Agents of Armitage, a paranormal investigation agency. You and your squad of misfits are called to Mason Hall to get down to the bottom of a ritual murder. Your motley team consists of The Detective, The Singer, The Magician, The Nun, The Nurse, and The Gangster. You will need each of their unique skillsets to conquer whatever supernatural presence you encounter, and you can train them to fit your team’s exact needs. Your characters not only grow in stats, but also develop personality traits and secret backstory’s along the way. There is a decision-making mechanic in the game as well, so choices you make early on will affect you down the road.
Combat is akin to Hard West or Shadowrun: Dragonfall. It is all about utilizing cover, stealth when able, and assembling the right team for the mission at hand. You will take on demons, cultists, and more as you attempt to hunt for clues and artifacts, all the while trying to keep you team from going insane.
Lots of layers here, and if it all comes together, paired with the fantastic premise and setting of the game, this could be great. You can see the early gameplay in the trailer above. Witch House is on Steam Greenlight right now, and if voted in it is looking at an Early Access release of Q3 for PC, Mac, and Linux.
