Guardians Of The Galaxy: James Gunn Teases Michael Rooker As Yondu

James Gunn has posted a new image to Twitter teasing the appearance of Michael Rooker as Yondu in Guardians of the Galaxy. The image shows a silhouette of Rooker in costume getting ready to go on set.

In comics, Yondu is a founding member of the original Guardians of the Galaxy. In the film, Yondu is the leader of group called the Ravagers and a father figure to Peter Quill.

In Guardians of the Galaxy, in the far reaches of space, an American pilot named Peter Quill finds himself the object of a manhunt after stealing an orb coveted by the villainous Ronan.

Guardians of the Galaxy opens August 1.
