Happy Birthday! Selma Blair Turns 44 Years Old

Let's all wish a big happy birthday to Selma Blair as the actress turns 44 today!

Born in 1972, Selma is the youngest child of parents Molly Anne and Elliot. The actress was raised in a Jewish household back in Michigan before she moved to New York at the age of 20 to pursue her acting career.

She began acting professionally in 1995 and was cast in several small projects before her big hit came years later. In 1999, she was cast in a teen-sitcom Zoe before landing a role in the film Cruel Intentions alongside Sarah Michelle-Geller. Later, she would go on to star in films like Legally Blonde, Down To You, and The Sweetest Thing.

However, Blair became a breakout star internationally after she appeared in Hellboy and Hellboy 2: The Golden Army as Liz Sherman. Most recently, Blair has worked in television on FX's American Crime Story.

Earlier this week, news had broke about Blair being escorted off a plane to receive emergency medical treatment following an outburst during the flight. The actress has since issued an apology for the incident, saying that the entire incident was embarassing and that she was glad her 4 year-old soon had been asleep during the event as she was traveling with him.
