Jimmy Palmiotti and Amanda Conner's Harley Quinn will launch in November, with #0 hitting the stands and featuring art by Darwyn Cooke, Sam Keith, Tony S. Daniel, Paul Pope, Walter Simonson, Art Baltazar and more yet to be named. Stephanie Rioux, whose Superman/Wonder Woman image will serve as the official poster for New York Comic Con this year, will provide a variant cover in addition to the standard version by Conner, seen at left. Prior to the release of DC's November solicitations earlier in the day, most fans had assumed that Conner would be drawing the series with Palmiotti writing, but in an article on the issue over at The Beat, Palmiotti clarified some points, including calming some previous commenters that had speculated the superstar art lineup was going to be a bunch of pin-ups with the series artist handling the main story. "The book is a story…not pin-ups," Palmiotti wrote. "The guests are all there for a reason, and we have some amazing ones not listed yet. It was never said once that Amanda was ever going to draw the book. We are writing it together and Amanda will be Providing covers each issue. Hope that clears up some stuff." "The monthly artist will be announced soon," he added. "We had a lot of choosing to do , but both Amanda and I are super specific in what we were looking for." Plus, you know, they got married just the other day, which can be a minor distraction when you're also doing about six comics a month.
