Feeling overwhelmed by all the holiday cheer? Don’t worry, Marvel’s resident sad sack, The Incredible Hulk, is here to tone down all of that festive joy.

NBC has released a supercut of The Hulk’s loneliest moments from the classic television series that ran from 1978 to 1982. In the video, every heartbreaking, soul-sapping, a depressing moment from the classic Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno-starring series is compiled into the saddest two minutes and fifty-three seconds you’re likely to experience all week. We knew that the Hulk got mad, but who knew that Bruce (or David) Banner could get so sad?
