It’s been a while since Marvel released any new information on their Daredevil series for Netflix, but the studio finally broke the silence this week with two new production stills.
The images, which debuted in this week’s print edition of Entertainment Weekly, feature series star Charlie Cox in costume as Daredevil and in civilian garb as Matt Murdock. The costume, a simple black uniform and mask, is designed after John Romita Jr.'s "Year One-"styled uniform that Matt Murdock wore in Marvel Comics' “Man Without Fear” storyline. Daredevil is reported to draw heavily from that origin tale, which tracked Matt’s evolution into the red-costumed vigilante.
While a release date has still not been set, Daredevil’s entire first season is expected to drop on Netflix in the first half of 2015.
