The forthcoming Deadpool adaptation may not have $200 million dollars to make it work like many superhero tentpoles do, but it's being done "the right way," says star Ryan Reynolds.

Reynolds, who toplined the big-budget disappointment Green Lantern and first appeared as Deadpool in the fan-unfavorite X-Men Origins: Wolverine, knows a bit about how to make a big-budget movie  as well as the lower-budget comedies and dramas that have typically driven his career success.

"I can't answer any of the big questions right now, unfortunately. I'm not allowed to," said Reynolds, joking that the outfit he had on that day was the costume. "The budget is very small," he said, echoing a joke he's made in previous interviews.

"We've got a bunch of great people that are behind it, I'll say that," the actor added, getting serious. "The goal for everybody is to make it the right way. For us, to make it the right way means that we don't get to make it with a lot of money, but we get to make it."

Deadpool is set to hit U.S. theaters one year from tomorrow, on February 12, 2016.
