Annihilator, Stan Lee's superhero concept that's been described as a "Chinese Captain America," is set to be adapted into a feature film by Bones executive producer Barry Josephson. Josephson joins a project that's been stagnant for nearly a year since announcing that Dan Gilroy of The Bourne Legacy fame would adapt the property for the screen. According to The Hollywood Reporter the film, which reportedly will cost between $100 million and $150 million and be in English with some Mandarin scenes, is the first of several projects that will be funded in part by National Film Capital. Iron Man 3, based on a character co-created by Lee, was also partially funded by Chinese investors and filmed part of the movie overseas, a move that caused a great deal of controversy at home and abroad.
