Last year, Top Cow took great strides in establishing Witchblade, The Darkness and Angelus as the main forces of power in their universe, and look for 2010 to continue that while also introducing other powerful beings with the February release of the first issue of Broken Trinity: Pandora's Box, a limited series focusing on the events revealed in the first Broken Trinity series. Michael Finnegan and Glorianna Silver, the bearers of the Artifacts known as the Glacier Stone and Ember Stone, respectively, are the focus of this series, whose quest to bring the 13 Artifacts revealed in the first series is accelerated by a fanatical cult seeking to get Pandora's Box! The six-issue series will be written by Rob Levin and Bryan Edward Hill, who have experience working with The Darkness and Broken Trinity, respectively. Artist Alessandro Vitti will handle illustrative duties for the series, and long-time artist Tommy Lee Edwards (1985) will handle cover art for the series. The story prospects had both Levin and Hill excited. "Top Cow has a history of working with writers who grab comics by the balls,” said Levin. “They did it with Mark Millar on Wanted, Ron Marz on Witchblade, and Phil Hester on The Darkness. Now they’ve gone and hired two folks who are going to grab and squeeze until everyone is begging for mercy, or is it for more? Either way, with four hands involved, people are going to take notice once again.” All of this will lead up to the big summer 2010 event for Top Cow, Artifacts, a thirteen-issue series that highlights each of the powerful objects hinted at throughout the Top Cow universe!
