Vacation reboot writers John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein are in talks with Sony and Marvel to pen the next Spider-Man film, according to Deadline.

The film, scheduled for release on July 28, 2017, will feature Tom Holland as a high school-aged Peter Parker in the early days of his career as Spider-Man, but will reportedly not tell the character's origin story.

Daley, most recognizable as an actor with credits like Freaks and Geeks and Bones under his belt, got his start as a writer primarily with comedies like Horrible Bosses and Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2. Goldstein started fifteen years ago in television with projects like The New Adventures of Old Christine and The PJs before he started co-writing with Daley; the pair of collaborated on all of Daley's feature film scripts.
