It's now official: Warcraft is the highest grossing video game movi of all time given the love it's received from international audiences.

While Warcraft experienced a dismal second weekend grossing domestically as the film's ticket sales dropped about 73%, the fantasy epic has little to worry about given its booming foreign audience. Directed by Duncan Jones, Warcraft has done extremely well in China as its audience contributed over $200 million to the film's total gross of $377.6 million globally.

Warcraft's earnings so-far already blow the previous record holder for most profitable video game film out of the water as Prince of Persia: Sands of Time only took in $335 million back in 2010. Even accounting for inflation, Warcraft beats out Prince of Persia with over $7 million dollars.

While Warcraft has received mixed reviews from players of the beloved MMORPG, China has welcomed the film with open arms. Warcraft cruised into Chinese theaters with an estimated $156 million debut which has shattered records and made the film the biggest debut of a foreign film in China. Outgrossing films such as Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Iron Man 3, Warcraft is proving the worth of China's approval as the country's film audience is one of the biggest in the world.

With the Chinese market driving much-needed cash into Hollywood's blockbusters, studios are doing all that they can to appeal to the foreign audience. Last month, Doctor Strange revealed their casting of Tilda Swinton for The Ancient One was altered to avoid controversy in China. Directors Anthony and Joe Russo (Captain America: Civil War) have also announced plans to enter the Chinese film market as the duo confirmed their new project, The Hero's Awakening, will feature a "mind-bending" Chinese superhero.

Warcraft, which hit stateside theaters on June 10th, stars Travis Fimmel, Paula Patton, Ben Foster, Dominic Cooper, Toby Kebbel, Ben Schnetzer, Robert Kazinsky, and Daniel Wu.
